Challenges
Prahant knew when they came to us that their corporate website was no longer up to par with the standards of professionalism that their clientele had come to expect from them. Their site wasn't mobile-friendly, so anyone who visited on their phones or tablets had a bad experience. Hence, we knew from the get-go that we needed to focus on making the site look good and function well regardless of the viewer's device. We set out to learn who visits the Prahant website and why in order to better serve them. We were able to create a strategy that speaks directly to site visitors by first identifying who they are and what they're looking for on the site.
Solution
After we were satisfied with our wireframes, we went on to the design phase. It wasn't too long ago that Prahant underwent a complete makeover, which included a new logo and a narrowing down to a few primary brand colours. We went for a sophisticated look by using mostly greyscale across the site and breaking up the heavy tones with plenty of whitespace. We also took some cues from Prahant's new logo's blue colour scheme to emphasise calls to action and other important elements throughout the site. Once the designs were approved, we moved into programming and used the Cake PHP framework to create the website.
